Appeareance
Colors: The main color of the SG 552 is grey. Some of it is black, but most is grey. The powder coat finish does a great job in making the plastic blend perfectly with the metal parts. The detail on the receiver is also great. There are spot weld marks, and all the contours match perfectly with the real gun.

Metal Parts

This replica is not entirely made up of metal, it's in fact made up of ABS plastic. Here's the metal stuff:

Trigger
Trigger Guard
Outer barrel
Charging Lever
Iron Sights
Ambidextrous Selector Switch
Mag release button

Trademarks
When I first opened the box, the trademarks had been solder off. It's not good, but it will have to do.

The replica has the following trademarks that have not been solder off:
"SG" engraved on both sides of the top receiver.
"SG" logo engraved on one side of the mag.
"SG" logo right before the rear sight.
A picture of a shield before the battery place.

Barrel Paint
It came with a orange flash hider, and it didn't include the original flash hider. I replaced it with a Tokyo Marui Tracer.

Operation:

Battery Fitting
The battery fitting is REALLY tight, it couldn't fit Small battery ONLY and only the 600 mAh. It's not a good idea to upgrade this gun. The battery space is limited, unless you make some room.

Magazine Loading
The standard cap, with the fake bullets only holds 40. The original one that comes with SG 550 and 551 holds 60 rounds but it doesn't have the fake bullets. The Hi-Cap holds 300 rounds. Since the SG 552 doesn't come with the lading rod, it comes with the new Tokyo Marui BB loader which makes it MUCH easier to load.

Magazine Changes
To change the mag you have to push forward a button which will release the mag. The button is right before the mag, which makes it easier. The Standard cap with the fake bullets drops 3 bbs, so out of 43 only 40 shoots out. Mag changes for the SG is a little bit complicated than the Armalite series. First you have to push in the front part of the mag then the back, unlike the Armalite series you just puts in it.

Ambidextrous Selector Switch
This gun can be used by both Righty and Lefty. Since it is Ambidextrous, there is no reason why you shouldn't get this gun. It's just like the MP5A4 with the ambidextrous selector switch.

Upgrades:

Pictured Accessories
NC STAR 45mm x1 Red Dot Scope
Tokyo Marui Tracer Unit

Durability:

It's a very solid, very tight gun. Though the foregrip is a little bit creaky after a couple of months, but it is normal, but you should always lube and take care the gun.

Available upgrade paths: Flashlight
Laser
Mini Launcher
Scope
Forward grip
Etc.

It has a rail so anything you can think of fits on it.
You name it, you can get it for this gun.

Conclusion: I absolutely love this replica, and I will always take care of it (as I do with my other guns). This is a must for a CQB or CQC player. It's ability to fold the stock is incredible. It is very maneuverable. If you try this replica, you will be addicted and will most likely have the same urge to buy it that I did.
